Can't AI do my transcription?

In a nutshell, there are cheaper alternatives to transcription and one of those is AI.

There are a variety of programs and websites that can transcribe for you at a cheaper price. We all know Youtube can transcribe video into subtitles, for example.

However, there will be errors if you use a program or AI. Those errors often include glaring issues such as missing lingo relevant to your industry, product names, speaker names, complicated names, names of countries and places, difficult to understand speakers, fast speakers, and spoken heavy accents to name a few. All of this will require management such as proofreading to go through and correct, and proofreading even one audio hour can take hours to fix.

In addition, you will need to sign up to the AI and provide your hard-earned original material to AI, and they may use that data in some shape or form.

As a better alternative, using a transcriptionist will keep your work safe and secure. Instead, you email or upload your audio file to the transcriptionist. From there, the transcriptionist will listen to the file through an audio player and type it up onto an office document. The completed document will then be emailed to you. That's it. They don't need to go through any other third party.

The transcriptionist is also an excellent researcher, so they will figure out any business acronyms, industry specific lingo and jargon, names, cities, street names, places, and countries, for example.

If you aren't sure what type of verbatim and don't have guidelines for the transcriptionist, you can simply explain the reason for the transcription and that often is all the transcriptionist will need.

If you want to save time and money, keep your original content secure and discuss your project then send me a message through my Contact form. I'm offering FREE transcription (that's right, FREE) services as part of my new beginning career as a transcriptionist.
